Attorney Michael P. Forbes has always been driven by a deep desire to help others. He began his legal career representing low-income families in the Philadelphia family court system, where he served for seven years. This early experience shaped his commitment to standing up for those facing hardship.
As his practice grew, Mr. Forbes expanded into the suburban counties of Chester, Montgomery, and Bucks, continuing to handle complex family law matters. During this time, he saw firsthand how damaged credit and looming foreclosures were devastating his clients' lives. That insight fueled a new mission: to empower clients with the legal tools and strategies they need to fight back against foreclosure and financial ruin.
Today, Attorney Forbes focuses on foreclosure defense, bankruptcy, and consumer law, helping clients save their homes and rebuild their financial stability. His compassionate, aggressive representation has helped countless families regain control of their finances—and their lives.
“These issues are urgent,” says Mr. Forbes. “If you’re facing foreclosure or financial distress, don’t wait. The sooner we act, the more options you’ll have.”

The Law Office of Michael P. Forbes, PC: A Family-Centered Practice
At the heart of the firm is a partnership, Michael and Nancy Forbes, husband and wife, who have built their practice together with a shared commitment to client care. Nancy, the firm’s Practice Director, is often the first voice new clients hear when they call. She ensures that every client feels welcomed, respected, and supported from the very beginning.
Together, the Forbeses have created what they call a “no-judgment zone” a safe haven where clients can feel confident opening up about their financial struggles without fear or shame.
Married for over 35 years, the Forbes family lives in Chester County, where they are raising their two youngest children (with their older children now grown and on their own). The office wouldn’t be complete without mention of their very large, very lovable dog, who’s just as much a part of the family as anyone else.
